Junho Song Introduction

Hello, My name is Junho Song. I am a junior at Bowling Green State University. I am from South Korea, and I was a marine in my country. Korean guys must go to military for 2 years, so I went to marine in my country. Most Korean people in the military areonly playing soccer when they have break time, so many people like soccer. I have been living in Bowling Green for 3 years now. When I came to America at the first time, I wanted to study English in Bowling Green Language Institute for a year. However, I wanted to go to BGSU, so I am still staying here now. My major is Sport Management, and minor is General Business. I like all sports; however, my favorite sport is soccer because I am familiar with playing soccer since I was in military. I had played soccer a lot with many people when I was in my country.

My favorite female athlete is Maria Sharapova. She is a Russian professional tennis player. Her play is great. In addition, Sharapova is a popular tennis player in the world, so I like to watch her game.

This video shows Maria Sharapova winning the French Open by beating Sara Errani http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3zhZ_vCx-mY

My favorite male athlete is Ji-Sung Park who is a South Korean professional soccer player. He plays as a midfielder for the English club Queens Park Rangers. Previously, he played at Manchester United Club. My another favorite male athlete is Shin-Soo Choowho is a South Korean professional baseball outfielder at the Cleveland Indians of Major League Baseball in the United States.

This is Ji-Sung Park’s information.

In conclusion, I do not have any concerns about this class now. I hope I can have a great friendship with all classmates and have a great time in this class.

  1. Junho,
It is a great atmosphere here in Bowling Green and at BGSU, I don't blame you for staying! But I wonder, do you have any family that also lives in the US? Or how often do you get to be with your family? I have considered studying abroad before I graduate because I think it would be such a phenomenal experience, but I am very nervous to leave behind family and friends. I would like to take a chance and get out of my comfort zone though. Do you have any advice for someone who would want to study in another country?

    1. Hello Stephanie. This is Junho Song.
My family live in my country. I came to here by my self for studying English when I came to here first time. I agree your opinion about this area is great atmophere. I like here for studying. However, sometime I'm missing my family. So, I need to make freind in here, it is very difficult to me because my English is not good, so sometime I have nervous. If someone who want to study to another country, I can say the plan is great. Also, I want to say to them about my country. A lot of American are living in South Korea now, also, if American guys go to my country, they don't worry about nervous because most Korean people can speak English now, and All of Korean people like to make friends, and Korean language is interesting. Thus, if you want to go to study in my country, I can say to explain to you about my country

  3. Hi Junho,

I really liked reading about how you decided to come to Bowling Green, and I am glad you liked it enough to stay. Do you plan on staying in America once you graduate, or would you like to get a job back in South Korea? Well I'm looking forward to working with you this semester!
